PRESS RELEASE
International Woodworker Hosts Guitar and Art Exhibit
Public invited to attend
E Street Cafe, Encinitas, California
ENCINITAS, Calif. – World-class woodworker Sue Spray is
presenting the Luthier’s Co-op First Annual Guitar/Art exhibition
displaying fine handmade guitars and harps and the artwork of local
Americana artist and E St. Café owner, Dominic Alcorn.  The
exhibition is designed to showcase both the beauty and sound of the
instruments along with the powerful impact of Dominic’s collection of
work. The public is invited to attend the event, May 1 from 3 p.m. – 7
p.m., at the E St. Café, 128 W. E. St., Encinitas, when the luthiers
and artist will be on hand to describe their work.

“These guitars are built from some of the finest global hardwoods
available, and produce rich tones hard to find in commercially
produced guitars,” said Sue Spray, owner.  “Our stringed instruments
represent an art form using time-honored techniques and processes
that are slowly disappearing.”

The free event will provide interested musicians and guitar
aficionados the opportunity to experience the sound of these guitars
and art patrons will enjoy Dominic’s artwork including his works
featured at Seaworld and in the “Save the Turtles” campaign in Cabo
San Lucas.  An afternoon of acoustic guitar music will be provided by
the very talented local musician Peter Pupping and others as they
demonstrate the warm, incredible tones and sounds of these
handcrafted guitars.   The guitars and artwork are available for
collectors wishing to add to their collections.   Proceeds from the
guitar sales will support the Helen Woodward Animal Center.  For
more information, call (760) 599-WOOD or visit www.suespray.com.

About the Luthiers'Co-op
The Luthier’s Co-op is a group of artisan guitar builders using time-
honored techniques to craft fine stringed instruments. Fifteen to
twenty stringed instruments are created each year concentrating on
quality, not quantity.  The result is custom built stringed instruments
that emphasize uniqueness, great tone and playability.  “We love
what we do and it shows.” Visit www.suespray.com for more
information.

Our 1st Annual Guitar Exhibit and Sale
was a huge success!
Thank you to all who attended our event.
Based on comments and suggestions we received at the exhibit, we
would like to provide another opportunity for collectors to assess and
play our guitars in a venue more conducive.

We would like to invite all aficionados who would like to really
see what our Cooperative is all about to join us for an
open house
at our workshop.  We will have complimentary hors d’oeuvres and
beverages in a relaxed, quiet atmosphere where one can sit down
and simply play our guitars.  Additionally, there will be
demonstrations and displays of the techniques we use to handcraft
these instruments.

Please plan on joining us!
